Manifesto

The Beginning

On Thursday, October 8 1998, the idea for the PNF Society was born outside the School of Management at Boston University.
The co-founders, Sister Courtney and Sister Anne, sitting quietly, began observing the many strangers that passed them by. From these observations sprung forth two concrete facts:
   1. People were alone
   2. People were in groups
They continued to contemplate the matter, and came to the earth-shattering conclusion that the people in groups seemed much  happier.
Seeing so many lonesome people prompted them to take action post  haste. Sister Anne and Sister Courtney vowed that they would ensure that
everyone had a friend, and the fruits of this vow bore the
Potential New Friends Society.
Since that fateful day, the PNF Society has expanded to over 5 states, 2 provinces, 6 countries and 2 planets.

Goals and Objectives

Although our main goal is to make friends and help others do the same, we also have other objectives:
-  no PNF should ever have to wait in line for Starbucks treats
- to introduce new music and new musical experiences to the masses, including classes on proper mosh-pit etiquette
- to have all members of the PNF Society gain a sarcastic outlook that permeates every aspect of their lives
- Celebrity Death Matches for all
- to connect the world through AOL Instant Messenger
- to off an economist
- to off Timmy M
- to prevent everyone from submitting themselves to astronomy at BU
- to make sure all members get ice cream with lots of sprinkles
- to make sure every member has a special coffee mug

The PNF Society is striving to achieve these goals and aspirations

You can help and gain SUPERSTAR STATUS!

"We're based on the principle of helping ourselves through helping others." Sister Anne remarked in at a recent fund-raising dinner.
